Terms and Conditions

Returns and Cancellations:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase within 30 days of receipt, we will replace the item(s) or provide a credit for the full purchase amount less any shipping and restocking charges. A “Return Authorization Number (RMA #)” is required on all items returned. Products without a RMA # will be refused. Please note there is a 30% restocking charge on all items returned. All returns of non-defective goods must be in new resalable condition and shipped to us prepaid (at your expense). Any parts having been altered or otherwise modified may not be returned. Returns are limited to 30 days on STOCK merchandise. SPECIAL ORDER or non-standard products cannot be returned and are subject to return or cancellation if special materials purchase and/or production has been initiated.
Shipping Terms:
All products are shipped through UPS or Freight LTL shipping services. UPS shipping cost is based on weight of products ordered and distance from Alpharetta, GA showroom. UPS shipping calculator can be found HERE. Shipping available in the continental United States ONLY. Whenever possible orders will be shipped together to help customers save money by avoiding unnecessary shipping costs. Return policy within 30 days of receipt we will replace the item(s) or provide a credit for the full purchase amount, less any shipping and restocking charges.
Limited Warranty:
All Products sold by Stair Solution are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from date received. No merchandise will be returned with-out prior approval of Management at Stair Solution. Improper use of products eliminates all Stair Solution Liability of any and all warranties or responsibilities for safety performance either expressed or implied, in compliance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. A complete warranty statement is available to all consumers.

Code Compliance:
Building code compliance requirements vary greatly from location to location. Therefore, Stair Solution is not liable for orders which do not comply with applicable building codes specific to customers’ install location. It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure compliance with any applicable building codes. Local building code requirements will always supersede any and all suggested procedures and measurements offered by Stair Solution.

STAIR SOLUTION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE PRICES AT ANY TIME.

INSTALLATION
A fifty (50) percent deposit is required to schedule installation with the balance due on the installation date. If this is a multi-day project, we request another 30 percent be paid on the 2nd day, with balance due at completion.

PAYMENTS
We accept; checks, MasterCard, VISA and AMEX.
Credit Card transactions include a four (4) percent Service Fee. We offer a cash discount of three (3) percent if product and/or service is paid in advance by check or cash. Debit transactions completed in our facility are free, requires a PIN number.

CUSTOM ORDERS-PAYMENTS
Full Payment in advance is required for custom ordered product. If for ANY REASON the Custom order is not picked up, payment will be forfeited.

Labor Rates
Standard labor is quoted and reflects our best effort to gauge the time required to complete the project. During the estimate and survey process it is difficult to identify all aspects of the original construction to determine the exact labor required to complete. In the event the project runs longer than expected by challenges out of our control, there will be additional charges. Premium and Cost Plus labor rates are available upon request.

Stain & Finish
Customer is responsible for selection of stain color. Stair Solution is not responsible for color differences. We will apply the stain in advance in our shop (pre-stain) using our best-effort, however we are not capable of delivering exact match. Age of prior finishes, wood species, etc. are a few of the elements not in our control. Color selection by Customer using Minwax and/or DuraSeal color charts is FINAL. Upon request we will prepare color samples for review and acceptance. Color change will result in additional cost (labor and materials) including loss of crew-time productivity.

Acceptance of Proposal
The above prices, specifications and conditions are hereby accepted. Buyer hereby authorizes seller to do the job specified. Payment terms will be as outlined. Stair Solution is not responsible for any delays caused by circumstances beyond its control. The Agreement sets forth the entire Agreement between the parties hereto. There are no other terms and conditions of this Agreement, except for the Terms as contained herein. No changes or additions to this Agreement will be accepted unless contained in a written document signed by both parties.

Conditions:
All material noted above remains the property of Stair Solution until paid in full. The prices and terms on our Estimate are not subject to verbal changes or other agreements unless approved in writing by Stair Solution. All quotations and agreements are contingent upon strikes, accident, fires, availability of materials, and all other causes beyond our control. Conditions not specifically stated herein shall be governed by established trade customs. Workmanship is warranted for one year.

Freight Terms:
In stock stair parts are shipped from 1883 McFarland Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30005, USA. Freight charges will be prepaid by Stair Solution, if for any reason the customer cancels order after it’s been shipped and in transit the customer is responsible to repay all freight charges for their cancel order.

Claims:
Claims for shortages, breakage, or damage must be made directly with the transportation company. Claims for shortages must be made within one (1) day after shipment is received. Customer must count and inspect items inside boxes at time before signing received slip from Transportation Company. Customer is responsible for verifying shipment quantity.
