FAKRO Attic Stairs

The Fakro Attic Stair is German made for strength and replaces standard builder grade wood attic stair units. It fits rough openings from 22 to 30 inches wide and lengths of 47, 54 or 60 inch. Most replacements will be 25×54 in the Atlanta area. These units are easy to install (minimal trim work). The spring unit is under the ladder connected to the door. This can add 4-5 inches to opening width and make moving boxes so much easier. The metal ladder supports 350 lbs and is strong, but easily unfolds to ceiling heights of 7’1″ to 10’1″. The Door locks into the sealed frame which stops AC and Heat loss into your attic. The savings from your utility bills could help pay for the ladder.
